Southport Interactive GIS Map - General Information NOTE: When the site has been launched, log in as a GUEST
A. The interface consists of an auto-resizable map, various tabs, a side panel, a toolbar, and icons all of which are designed to provide expandable functionality. 1. Auto-resizable map view - Users can minimize or maximize the size of the interface. Simply drag the window to the preferred size and the system will automatically fit the interface to the new window size. To maximize the interface simply click the window's maximize button. 2. Tabs - the functionality of the interface is divided into the four tabs. Please see the Map View tab, Map Layers tab, Search tab, and Results tab for additional information. 3. Just the Facts, Print, and Help Icons a. Please see Just the Facts, Print, and Help for detailed information 4. Preferences and Settings a. Under Preferences and Settings user will find the on/off selector for the Reference Map and the Rollover Map Tips. Please see Preferences and Settings for additional information. 5. Side panel - Depending on which tab the user selects, the side panel will change to provide that tab's functionality. Please see the Side Panel for additional information. 6. Toolbar - The Toolbar provides navigation and feature selections functionality. B. The interface displays an interactive map. Users can scroll the map to any positions. When you move the cursor on the map, it will display the coordinates of the cursor, in the State Plane Coordinate System in the X-coord and Y-coord positions found at the bottom of the interface. |
