Voters for the election on June 8th who wish to vote by absentee ballot can request a ballot a number of ways:
1. Come into the office anytime before Election Day and fill out an absentee ballot request form 2. Place a telephone request directly to the Town Clerk by calling (207) 633-6311 (The voter must speak directly to the Town Clerk. Leaving a message requesting a ballot is not considered a valid request by state law.) 3. Go to the Secretary of State's Absentee Ballot Request Service web page at: http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl Through this web page they can: -- Submit an absentee ballot request electronically -- Complete an absentee ballot request form online, print it, and mail to the Town Clerk -- Print out a blank absentee ballot request form, fill it out, and mail to the Town Clerk A note: An e-mail request directly to the Town Clerk from the voter is not considered a valid request by state law. An absentee ballot request must be done by one of the above methods.
